The A470s Big Band is an International Big Band with a varied repertoire including swing, jazz, latin, funk and blues. The band strives for professional musical quality while maintaining a friendly and warm atmosphere.
The band is fortunate to have the generous support of the UNIVERSITY OF GLAMORGAN with members comprising students and local musicians of a high calibre. The band is able to provide loan instruments to those musicians returning to playing
The band has performed to a wide audience throughout the UK, France and Ireland in charity and corporate events, private functions, University Balls and also international jazz festivals (credits include the prestigious Guinness Cork Jazz Festival).
